Where Mother Jerusalem goes, I will go.

Why is the story of Ruth recorded in the Bible?
Because she went where ever Naomi went.

In the days where the judges ruled, there was a famine in the land of Judah, and a man named Elimelech from Bethlehem, together with his wife Naomi and two sons, went to live for a while in the country of Moab. Elimelech died there, and Naomi's two sons married Moabite women: Orpah and Ruth. After ten years Naomi's sons also died and she was left with her two daughters-in-law.
Naomi went back to the land of Judah when she heard the famine stopped and she told her two daughters-in-law to go their own way. They refused to do it because they wanted to stay with her, but as Naomi urged to leave, Orpah finhally left. However Ruth clung to her.
"Don't urge me to leave you or turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried..."
Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, and went to Bethlehem with her.
Ruth as a gentile woman, is listed in the geneology of Jesus.
Ruth did not leave her mother-in-law but followed her to the end, so she was greatly blessed. This same kind of attitude is required of us who will inherit the kingdom of heaven: That is the spirit of the gospel we must have in this age. When we follow and serve the Spirit and the Bride, Christ Ahn Sahng Hong and Mother Jerusalem, who have given us the gift of salvation, to the end, our names written in the book of life in heaven will shine like the stars forever.
